Wheelchair Rugby launch
The Quack and Field Wheelchair Rugby book was written in partnership – and with lots of help and input – from the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) team.
GBWR have been incredibly supportive and it’s a real honour that they are officially endorsing the book too.
One of the star players – Ayaz Bhuta – has written a fantastic foreword in the book. He’s also agreed to sign some copies!
Rob recently met up with Olympic hero Bryony Page at the incredible Lilleshall National Sports Centre. Bryony won a silver medal in Trampolining at the Rio games in 2016 and was the first British person to win a Trampolining medal in Olympic history!
Bryony has personally signed 20 copies of the Trampolining book.
Rob Foster writes for Rainy City Kids
Check out Rob’s article on the Rainy City Kids blog – all about where to take your kids around Manchester!
Rob delivered his first Primary School book reading. He visited St Lukes in Salford as part of their World Book Day. He read to 4 classes of Key Stage 1 pupils and absolutely loved it…despite being nervous beforehand!
Despite his nervousness, the kids also seemed to enjoy it and the school fed back:
“The children really enjoyed this experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending other schools to take up the same opportunity of a visit from Rob. Three words sum up the visit for the children:
Enjoyment Engaging Excellent
The books challenge the sometimes ‘tricky’ subject of inclusion for all regardless of ability in a fun and engaging way with a moral that ALL can achieve.”
